There are a lot of discussion by critics of the cleaning necessary to stop clogging the machine and the coffee fresh from the mill products and thus avoid the weak coffee basket. This was one of the things I so reluctant to buy the machine, but I have no problem with that at all. So every time I use the machine, I press the button on the side and opens the filter assembly, I take the whole thing to the sink and everything is emptied and rinsed in less than one minute, (I always cover the filter / cover with a towel dry before replacing the entire assembly, but because it feels like the right thing to do), I unlock the coffee bean turn it off and using the brush is available to quickly shake in the chute indicate where to eat ground coffee filter and replace the hopper. Then just rinse the decanter and use it to fill the reservoir. Believe me, it took me longer to write this than to actually do it really clean, fast and simple job to clean and refill the machine.
It is insulated carafe to keep coffee hot instead of the traditional hot plate to keep coffee stew. Some have complained that keep it warm enough and had the manufacturer further stated in the instructions, it was suggested that the carafe is heated with hot water before use. I've never heating the carafe and the coffee is hot enough, I have indeed just coffee at 06:00, and was the last cup in the afternoon, and it was still warm enough to drink (but I can drink it black add milk or cream would be cool). I express my personal thought is NOT hot plate keeps coffee stew.
Not necessarily the carafe be folded into the extreme corner pour the coffee, because the cover mechanism to prevent heat loss. Even when tipped up on the coffee still comes out fairly slowly. Is 6'2 "I find the angle needed to carafe tipping naturally enough, but my wife at 5'4" he will not be a bit clumsy. If I'm not in a hurry to go to the coffee 1 / 4 to get the lid is needed to remove the carafe and pour that problem quickly.
I love my coffee brewed strong enough, and this is probably one area I do less than happy with the machine. Set the number of cups you want to brew the coffee grinds and much Cuisinart think you need to count the cups ... and it's not really my taste very strong. However, because this is a 12 cup machine (more than most), and rarely do I need to brew that much, but I filled the water up to 10 cups, but the site shows the 12 cups. It works a treat and makes a lot of good coffee for me. If I have more than 10 cups of coffee I just ground to bring the filter before the machine.I think the machine is great, definitely the best coffee I've owned and I wish I bought Cuisinart DGB-900BC Thermal Coffeemaker long before I did.
